Frenkie De Jong scored a vital late winning goal for Barca as they beat a struggling side Alaves
to climb up to fifth spot in La Liga table.
The Dutch midfielder De Jong scored an excellent goal with a wisely pass from Ferran Torres in the 87 minutes
of the second half.
Xavi’s team controlled possession but it was the hosts Alaves, sit 19 place in the table that had the best chances
during the game.
The victory moves Barca to just one point of fourth spot Atletico Madrid, who they will face off at the Nou Camp
next weekend.
Meanwhile the home side Alaves, remain at the relegation zone who sit in the 19 spot that earned just 17 points in 21 games.
